Hi,

First off, thanks for this fantastic piece of software! It's fast, very
reliable and allows for a clean configuration.

I noticed however, that when mbsync pulls in new e-mail, it stores it
into the maildir folder under new/, with a filename that follows the
"uniq:2," pattern. According to the maildir format
(http://cr.yp.to/proto/maildir.html), the filename should be "uniq".
The colon and info field (containing "2,") should only be added when
moving from new to cur.

I was wondering if there was a reason the decision was made to already
append the colon and info field in new, and whether it really should be
up to the MUA to check if the info field was already appended.

Thanks,
Sumant
