Thanks a lot! I like this solution much more, as this means that the translation rules won't get screwed up. The subject of the message reminded me that I have forgotten to correct it after I realised, that I can get notifications for new mail by using mailcheck utility and then using libnotify after I sync with mbsync my maildir folders. Are there any more elegant solutions by using some hook functionality in mbsync, which I am not aware of?
