Dear list,

with one of my mail accounts I do receive a duplicate message in my
local Trash folder each time I run mbsync. Since I run mbsync every few
minutes from a shell script loop, the Trash folder grows and grows.

I compared two of the identical files using diff, and only their X-TUID
are different.
Locally I do read mail with mutt, and mutt "deletes" mails by moving
them to the local Trash folder. I connect to the mail server using Imap.
This is not on a gmail account, of course.

The behavior is the same on a different computer using the same config
files.

The only reference to a similar problem was a posting in 2012 with topic
"Duplicate avoidance"
http://sourceforge.net/p/isync/mailman/message/30022625/

What could I try to get rid of the ever-growing Trash folder?

Thank you so much for providing mbsync, support, and any hints to my
problem.

best, P
