I re-read the man page but things are still unclear, possibly because I am not yet familiar with the terminology and such. First timer, that is. > do not put your trash folder into a regular channel. When I want to 'delete' a message in mutt, I am actually moving it into the trash folder, but the message is not marked for deletion. Also I never empty the trash. Does this use of a trash folder include the scenario you are warning me about by saying I should not have my trash in a regular channel? After all, it is just only "one more folder". > alternatively, don't use mbsync's trash feature. I have not set the "Trash" option and the manpage says it defaults to "None". I am not using the Trash option afaik. What is also strange is that my setup works nicely with three IMAP accounts/servers, but not with two others. I wonder why. Of the two problematic ones one for sure is a MS Exchange box.
