i don't know. i suspect it will complain about invalid mailboxes. it
could be that git master works better than any released version due to
related changes, but that's purely speculative.
copy a folder and synchronize only that one for test purposes, and
report back.

though i wonder why the moderation queue doesn't show up anything if you
