Hi,

First off, mbsync is a very useful tool - thank you for creating it. We are
using mbsync to copy mail from a standard qmail email box to a Google
Apps/Business gmail account via IMAP on both sides. This is working
perfectly using mbsync using "Sync Pull" configuration (though I think Sync
New would work as well) and cron.

The issue is that once we sync the mail from qmail to gmail, we don't want
the mail stored on the qmail side anymore. I'm not quite sure how to
accomplish this.

One idea is to sync deletes back to qmail from gmail, when the user
archives messages in gmail. It is acceptable to leave messages in qmail
that are still in the user's inbox on gmail. But once the user archives the
messages, we'd remove the message from qmail. Is this possible? Can mbsync
be configured to consider a gmail "archive" status as a deleted message (or
really any status where the message is no longer in the gmail INBOX would
be fine)?

If mbsync can be configured to treat gmail messages this way, I think a
"Sync PullNew PushDelete" would work for our use-case?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to handle this issue using
mbsync?

Thanks for any thoughts, questions or suggestions..

Steve
