Hello,
I'm trying to use isync to merge an old Maildir dump from a server that
went down, into a new server, which is currently live. The new server
already has emails, and I want to add the emails from the Maildir dump
into the inbox (and other folders) of the live server.
Let me know if this is not the correct place to ask for help (although I
have already looked around online and read the manual, and I think my
problem is quite specific).
I already made an attempt that seems to have caused some kind of
problem. I used the following config:
=========================================
IMAPAccount alexander.altanis
Host mail.dissonantaltar.org
User alexander.alta...@dissonantaltar.org
IMAPStore remote-alexander.altanis
Account alexander.altanis
MaildirStore local-alexander.altanis-backup
#Path "/mnt/data/backup/server
recovery/var/vmail/vmail1/dissonantaltar.org/"
Inbox "/mnt/data/backup/server
recovery/var/vmail/vmail1/dissonantaltar.org/a/l/e/alexander.altanis-2017.03.31.21.53.49/Maildir"
SubFolders Maildir++
Channel prod-push
Master :local-alexander.altanis-backup:
Slave :remote-alexander.altanis:
Sync Push
CopyArrivalDate yes
=========================================
The problem was caused when I originally tried without the
CopyArrivalDate option. I also didn't use the SubFolders option (and
also had the Path option), but I don't think that is the problem.
What happened was: mbsync uploaded all the emails from the local Maildir
into the server, but they all had the current date and time. I then read
the docs, saw the CopyArrivalDate, and enabled it. I also manually
deleted all of the synced messages from the web interface of my email
server (I use Roundcube), and I thought that would be enough.
I then tried to upload again, but then I always get the following
output:
$ mbsync prod-push
C: 0/1 B: 0/1 M: +0/0 *0/0 #0/0 S: +0/0 *0/0 #0/0
Password (alexander.altanis):
C: 1/1 B: 1/1 M: +0/0 *0/0 #0/0 S: +0/0 *0/0 #0/0
Please let me know what I can do to resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Alexander
