After some difficulty getting mbsync started, I finally got it to pull the messages from my gmail account to my local machine. However, this morning when I checked my email on my phone, I found that the messages from my inbox had been almost entirely removed, going back several years. This only happened to my inbox, no other mail folder.
Two questions: 1. How do I prevent this from happening in the future? 2.
