ah, there: you're not syncing deletions. that explains why the conflict
persists. i suppose it would make sense to simply suppress the message
in this case, even though technically it *is* entirely correct: it can't
sync over the flag change due to the target being gone.

well, as i said, it gave you the necessary context which allows you to
infer what happened: the master's load_box returns a list of messages
where the pair's first uid is missing (or the other way round).

does that happen only when running with the -D options? that would be
weird. otherwise, maybe your network route to google is just borderline
insufficient. just keep restarting - as long as *some* progress is
actually made some times, it will finish at some point.
