well, it doesn't do recursive listing, so you can't have a single view of new mail while browsing. also, it's just impossible to enter nested mailboxes, as the parent mailbox will be opened instead of showing its sub-boxes. (refering to the regular folder browser; didn't check how the "inbox only" mode behaves.)

I just recently changed to Maildir++ as this is what the work IMAP server requires and didn't notice any problems with subfolders until then.

are you're running an imap server off your *local* mailboxes? otherwise, there is no relation between these things whatsoever.
