Oswald, I found the answer. Prior to the upgrade the local folder name syncing with the IMAP server was INBOX.Something but after the upgrade the local folder name syncing with IMAP server was just Something. The local copy of both folders but the old folder was no longer syncing and the new was. Since in both cases INBOX was still INBOX I did not notice that I had a whole new set of folders.
