I think that means that two messages were handled differently on the
remote and your local side, e.g., on the remote side, the message was
moved into some Archive folder but locally it was deleted.

I guess at least it would be desirable to know why that happened.  Maybe
you did some local operation but did not sync it back to the remote and
then did a diverging operation in another client (Outlook web, mobile)?
Or maybe some server-side rule and your sync fetched the message before
the rule was applied?

Not sure, but maybe running mbsync with --debug-sync could give a clue.
