*Position: Data Designer/Data Modeler* *Location: St. Louis, MO* *Duration: 6+ months* *Rate: $50-55/Hr Best* * * *In person interview may be required. * *Major Accountabilities:* Perform basic database functions and fundamental data modeling tasks. Install and manage development and production databases in current standard environments. Perform problem diagnosis; performance tuning; capacity planning and configuration management. Identify entities; attributes and referential relationships for data models using Information Engineering approach. Assure system stability and future compatibility by monitoring production execution of all relevant systems. Create logical and physical data models. Create tables; indexes; and constants. Assist programmers with SQL DML. Generate DCL and DDL as necessary. Produce and manage all appropriate data modeling according to standards. Perform all backup and recovery. Implement and support high availability systems. *Experience Required:* Broad knowledge of database fundamentals and expertise in one to two areas, usually acquired through two to three years of experience. Full use and application of standard data modeling fundamentals including E/R modeling, constraint design, attribute definition and Designer 2000.
