Urgent requirement for Sr. UNIX Systems Admin.send resumes of your consultants with contact info and billing rate ASAP Required Skills: looking for a Sr. Unix Systems Admin. The Level 2 Systems Administrator (one for Windows and one for Unix) provides end to end infrastructure services and support for our application development and production support clients. The support covers multiple lines of business and focuses on system installation, configuration, availability and performance. Additional Information: Job duties to included, but not limited to: * Define Business specific build components and automation to support automated client builds. * Provide support for junior L2 administrators with hardware, storage and network problems as necessary and perform root cause analysis * Assist clients in debugging application problems and issues * Assist with escalations from Level 1 Ops and Level 2 Junior SA staff * Participate in engineering and technical reviews of new hardware and architecture * Communicate with global technology and business partners. * Rotate on call coverage including off hours support * Regular meetings with GBT and Business teams to ensure proper level of support is provided * Provide testing and evaluation of new builds, hardware and technical solutions provided by Engineering * Update run book documentation and known error database on a continual basis to ensure run books are current and enable quicker time to resolution * Review metrics on tickets closed, escalated and incidents to indentify opportunities for improved automation of alerts * B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree plus a minimum 2-4 years of professional experience * L2 Senior SA requires minimum 5-7 years of System Administrator experience supporting Production, Development & QA systems in an enterprise environment * L2 Senior SA requires strong knowledge of scripting in shell, Perl and/or other interpretive languages. * Strong analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills * Strong interpersonal, communications, organizational and time management skills * Thorough knowledge of Operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Solaris, Redhat Linux) and related technologies - DNS, NFS, AD, TCP/IP, VMWare and blade technology * Experience with clustering technology - Microsoft clustering and/or Veritas clustering * Knowledge of Kickstart, Jumpstart, Ghost or other disk imaging strategies. * Knowledge of debugging tools such as NetMon, Perfmon, SAR and scripting * Knowledge of HP/Compaq Insight Performance & Monitoring Toolsets * Experience with Intel and/or Opteron Based Hardware Platforms * Knowledge of HP/Compaq Proliant model Hardware * Knowledge of Remote Administration and configuration through RILO/ALOM technologies * Knowledge of Market Data delivery systems such as Reuters and Tibco ***Please make note of my new email address thanks!
