Position: PL/SQL Developer Location: Orlando, FL
Duration: 12+ Months Rate: $47/Hr Best F2F may be required. Description PL/SQL Developer- Must have openVMS and DCL Responsibilities: Work with Business Analysts to clarify system requirements Modify existing implementations using PL/SQL, OpenVMS, DCL, C. Document existing and proposed design solutions using RUP and UML. Long term migration of existing solutions from PL/SQL, OpenVMS, DCL, C to new Java centric solutions. The Developer will be a proven problem solver with good technical and communication skills. The candidate must also be a team player and able to accept guidance from existing Architects. Skills and Experience Weighting Candidate must have these attributes Management strongly desire the candidate has these attributes Management desires the candidate has these attributes Skills: Excellent technical knowledge of PL-SQL, OpenVMS, DCL and C Experience delivering design artifacts. (Exposure to RUP a plus) Ability to model and communicate proposed design using UML Team player with excellent communication skills. Experience: Minimum depth of 4 years technical knowledge in PL/SQL development, design and deployment. Oracle 9i & 10g experience 2+ years experience in developing C programs Minimum of 5 years working in an openVMS environment. (Must include familiarity with DCL) Knowledge of SQL and one or more relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server Excellent design & programming skills, including the use of UML and design patterns. Experience in all phases of the application software lifecycle (SDLC) - requirements, design, development and testing. Willingness to learn Java as part of eventual migration of all environments to Java Platform Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Government and/or tolling industry experience desired. High-volume transactional processing in Oracle Implementation experience in a 24/7/365 development environment.
