Location: Greater Seattle, WA
Duration: 9-12 months
Rate: $55.00 - all inclusive. Based on
level of experience.

We are looking for a high-energy, clear thinking, scientific oriented and
knowledgeable Performance Tuning Specialist/Oracle Application DBA to
support a very large 4-Node RAC environment. In this position, you will come
up with performance tuning strategies, train the developers and the database
administrators on tuning techniques, create documentation and provide 24/7
technical support.
The successful candidate should be expert in the following areas: Tuning
various Oracle RAC and Non-RAC databases, SQL, PL/SQL with ability to tune
complex query. Database administration and tuning with 9i/10g, RAC and
Dataguard. Tuning Oracle Applications, Concurrent managers, Apache, Forms
Servers, Reports servers, etc. Oracle Applications administration and tuning
with 11.5.10, technology stack, including architecture, installation,
configuration, maintenance, cloning and patching procedures. Tuning from OS
perspective and experience with Solaris 9/10. Experience with very large
database, online, batch .
The selected candidate will be apart of the performance tuning team and will
work close with their prod support counterparts so it will be expected that
the candidate will be techno-functional as well in various supply chain and
finance modules like OM/INV/PO/FA/PA as well as WorkFlow. Ability to learn
on the fly, especially the business aspects of the system will be a must as
this is an extremely fast-paced environment that is continually growing and
expanding functionally.
Required Experience (must have ALL this)
* 24/7 technical support experience
* Tuning Oracle database
* SQL
* PL/SQL with ability to tune complex query
* Database administration and tuning with 9i/10g, RAC
and Dataguard
* Tuning Oracle Applications, Concurrent managers,
Apache, Forms Servers, Reports servers, etc.
* Oracle Applications administration and tuning with
11.5.10, technology stack, including architecture, installation,
configuration, maintenance, cloning and patching procedures
* Tuning from OS perspective and experience with
Solaris 9/10
* Experience with very large databases, online, batch
* Will require occasional non-standard/off hours
