Position: Integration Tools Java Engineer Location: South Lake, TX
Duration: 4 Months Rate: $45-48/Hr Best *** Candidates MUST be Local to Texas. *** Description: In this role, you will be involved in helping define, develop, and deploy development tools and processes across our business unit. These tools and processes span all aspects of the development process, including: SCM, code branching, merging, labeling, SW build tools, code quality monitoring and reporting, continuous integration, and automated test environment support. This person will work closely with development teams and QA to provide highly reliable continuous integration environment. Work closely with HW support team to insure highly reliable and responsive developer support systems. Provide developer assistance including troubleshooting, training, and documentation. Manage, prioritize, and develop several short and long term build center enhancements. Analyze, recommend, and implement tools and processes for quality and efficiency improvements. Learn and evaluate new industry tools for building and measuring code quality. Help lead the way to identify and implement best-of-breed development environments. Help team achieve company goals for reducing code complexity, code size, and increasing code test coverage. Qualifications: Solid Communication skills Team player equally comfortable leading a small team, or following a team leader Provide excellent customer service by working with developers, testers and product managers to understand needs and find solutions Ability to multi-task and manage a wide range of requests and priorities Self-motivated for continuous learning and technical growth Strong analytical skills to identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency Strong drive to implement improvements, focuses on highest priorities, and sees projects through to completion Must be flexible about technology changes without pushing the latest fads without justification Required Technical Skills: 3+ years as a Java and/or C++ developer. 2+ years database development experience. 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Operating Systems. 1+ years of experience with Linux Operating Systems. Solid working experience of web application build and deployment tools and processes. Solid working experience of source control tools (e.g. ClearCase, Subversion, CVS). Familiarity with IDEs (e.g., Eclipse, IntelliJ). Familiarity with one or more Agile based development methodologies. Preferred Technical Skills: 2+ years of Java Web Development. Familiarity with scripting tools such as Perl and various shells. Familiarity with software development tools such as JUnit, CppUnit, FIT, FitNesse, etc. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
