Title:  APPLICATIONS DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Number Needed: 1

Description:     Applications Database Administrator is responsible for all
functions associated with the efficient design, implementation and
maintenance of Oracle databases and the PeopleSoft applications. The primary
roles and responsibilities include the implementation, architecture, backup
and recovery, and monitoring of an extremely large PeopleSoft/Oracle layout.
This role also includes planning for and overseeing the integration of
consistent database administration methodologies and documentation on a
department-wide basis and for providing support to all IT development staff
in managing their solutions. The Applications Database Administrator is
responsible for administering the organization's software to manage their
environments.  The Applications Database Administrator must have strong
Oracle Database / PeopleSoft experience with depth in Linux scripting, GRID
configuration, GRID monitoring, People Soft technologies, configuration
management, and security. This position will be primarily focused on
automating a significant portion of our operations and configuring GRID/OEM
for monitoring and maintaining the ~200 enterprise environments. Automation
will require knowledge of Linux, NetApp, NFS, Oracle, and People Soft.
Monitoring and maintenance will require in depth knowledge of OEM/GRID.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science,
Information Technology or equivalent and at least 10 years' experience as an
IT professional.

 

MUST Have Experience In:                               
Linux scripting (Automation); Oracle database on Linux; PeopleSoft on Linux;
Oracle management tools (GRID/OEM installation and configuration);
PeopleSoft clone procedures

 

REQUIRED Professional Experience:              Excellent analytical and
problem solving skills; Excellent spoken and written communications skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to work in a dynamic team
environment and to interact with resources from technical and non-technical
organizations; Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal
supervision; Ability to multi-task well and prioritize accordingly; Ability
to build strong relationships with teammates and clients

 

Desired Skills But Not Required:                     Oracle PeopleSoft
architecture (PIA); Oracle DB skills in an Oracle PeopleSoft environment
(HR, FIN, ELM, EPM, PORTAL); Oracle Database 8, 8i, 9i, 10g and 11g; Oracle
RAC (10g and 11g); Oracle Applications Server (OAS); Knowledge on Emerging
Database Technologies; Ability to read and tune PL/SQL Statements; Ability
to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance
with established project standards; Ability to document and communicate
progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary; Ability to
identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed;
Oracle on OVMS; Oracle data migration
