Urgent requirement for Senior Technical Writer Description Initial contract to end of 2008 Location: Mountain View,CA We are looking for a skilled, self-starting, senior technical writer to produce developer, administrator, and end-user documentation in a very fast-paced environment. Documentation is an important part of the delivery and the writers are an important part of the development team. You will be responsible for managing full documentation sets for one or more product lines, and potentially managing the resources of one or more writers. Additionally, your responsibilities will include gathering information from members of engineering, marketing, and customer service, using our products and services, and reading specifications to learn about and to update existing documents and online help. You are independent but also able to work well as part of a team, and committed to producing high-quality, highly technical documentation in a variety of formats and for a variety of products and services. You are aware of the importance of correct and complete content. This contract position is initially to the end of the 2008, with a potential for extension and possibly permanent employment. Writing samples are required. If hired, you will need to be managed through our approved contractor vendor.
