The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar environment. One would be expected to have experience in, and be able to perform tasks: As Application DBA: ? Identify ways of enhancing existing system, define problem areas, develop viable solutions, determine cost benefits of recommended solutions, and prioritize system work Provide continuous 24/7 support for Common Analytic Platforms databases Plan and coordinate the installation and integration of new systems packages, and upgrades over all Common Analytic Platforms systems Ensure backup and recovery systems are operational Perform troubleshooting when and where required Write requirements, technical documents for database maintenance and non-technical documents for internal support Coordination and control of interfaces to maintain system integrity during development, production, and maintenance Ensure that all processes and actions are auditable Participate in code reviews. Manage, measure, enforce, report and ensure on-going Sarbanes-Oxley compliance Carry production support primary pager Automatic proactive monitoring of all system components As CORE DBA: Install and upgrade the ORACLE Server, OEM and other database and application tools Create and configure database and options Capacity planning Performance monitoring and tuning Create, modify and maintain database objects, users and security management Trouble shooting, housekeeping, space and fragmentation management 5-7+ years software development experience 5+ Yrs.
