Description: The BI Technical Consultant will utilize their reporting, analytics, dashboard, ETL, and development experiences in working with BI Analytical Tools. Role Summary: The BI Technical Consultant is responsible for a variety of roles ranging from development to analysis and technical leadership. The primary role is to serve on project development teams, providing technical solutions, tool/software alternatives and capabilities, design specifications, and recommendations related to technical issues. Occasionally the position may mentor other team members including client personnel. Required Skills and Experience: Over 5 years of practical experience in development with consulting experience preferred Diverse technical background with experience in various roles, platforms, architectures, packages and technologies Proven track record in core skills for development, centering around customer, project and client/staff deliverables Professional image and demeanor with the ability to present oneself in a consultative, confident manner Strong career interest with a focus on professional improvement Exposure to leadership role a plus Minimum Bachelors Degree in an IT-related field Development language certifications a plus Strong verbal/written communication skills Demonstrated ability to be productive independently and/or as a team member Presentation skills a plus Diverse understanding of industry based tools, software and techniques Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills Demonstrated understanding of basic estimating procedures, capable of assembling a basic project plan and good work tracking habits Required Technical Experience: MS SQL Server MS SQL Analysis Services MS SQL Reporting Services MS SQL DTS and Integration Services Data Warehouse Ideal additional experiences: MS SharePoint MS BSM ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#.NET HTML, SHTML, JAVA Crystal Reports, Cognos, Business Objects, Oracle Business Intelligence Business Intelligence Project Work ETL Work Internet Information Services (IIS) Active Directory Security.
