Note: The person must have with Agile and Embedded Systemd Exp with the following Clients........... * Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer Location: Radnor, PA Duration: 6+ months * *Rate: D.O.E (Keep* *Low)* The person in this role needs to meet the following criteria: · Experience working in the cable industry (i.e. Comcast, Times Warner, Cox Communications, etc) preferred, but will accept candidates coming out of Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Verizon, Motorola or True Position. · Mastery of Java and/or C/C++ · Excellent communications are a MUST. · Embedded software development experience is also a MUST. client in Radnor is currently looking for a contractor for 6 months to serve as a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. This position is responsible for designing and building multi-functional level components and/or systems modules for embedded Java applications for customer set-top units. *Responsibilities:* · Test and evaluate subsystems and components · Apply standards, methodologies, and other departmental processes and procedures · Apply coding standards and methodologies · Present design of a single component · Keep current with technology development within the industry · Creation of documents and design technical requirements and service specifications *Technical Skills:* · Experience with Java and/or C/C++ · Experience with embedded applications/multi-thread concepts · Experience with OO design/analysis · Practical experience with unit testing · Experience with software development environments and CM tools · Investigate and resolve software defects · Demonstrated technical writing skills in support of software development • Understanding of code optimization concepts *Desired Skills & Experience:* · Must interface successfully with engineers and across functional departments · Ability to work independently under the general supervision of a more senior software engineer · Experience with agile development methodologies.
