Location: Jacksonville, FL Duration: 6+ Months Rate: $45-47/Hr Best Interview process: Telephonic followed by in-person interview. Job Description: Client is looking for a Sr. Developer in Pro*C and PL/SQL for Unix and Oracle. Must have excellent communication skills. Major responsibilities: *Responsible for development in the detail design documentation, development, unit testing and maintenance of internally developed applications *Write code for system designs that span platforms *Write code for enhancing existing programs or developing new programs *Write detailed technical specifications for subsystems and identify integration points *Estimate project timelines and resources required to complete programming projects *Perform unit testing and debugging and set test conditions based on code specifications *Supports application throughout the Product Development life cycle *Coordinate with areas for integration architecture solutions and determine the integration approach *Knowledge of SDLC, product development methodologies, database methodologies and system integration *Detailed understanding of coding design and documentation protocol as well as unit testing, change management and release procedures *Strong Analysis and Design skills required. *3+ years of Demonstrated experience with Unix operating systems (e.g., Unix, MVS, etc) *3+ years of Demonstrated experience programming using PL/SQL *Experience in complex application development in a RDBMS environment. Oracle, Pro*C experience required. *Demonstrated experience using debugging tools, processes, and techniques. *Demonstrated experience using versioning tools such as PVCS or Clear Case RUP a plus Skills *Pro*C - 3-5 yrs Extensive Experience *Oracle - 3-5 yrs Extensive Experience *PL/SQL - 3-5 yrs Extensive Experience *UNIX - 3-5 yrs Extensive Experience We are looking for an application developer, someone who can evaluate existing jobs and programs, and come to understand how they work and assess necessary changes. They must be willing to support production cycles on a rotating basis. Requirements include: Minimum 2 years of experience coding using C. Minimum 2 years of experience with Unix shell scripting. Minimum 1 year experience with coding using PL/SQL. ClearCase and Pro*C experience is a plus.
