Position: PeopleSoft Financial Sr. / Lead Consultant
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Saint Louis, MO
Job Responsibilities
Perform lead analyst role to complete high-level, technical systems design for
new & enhanced systems
Perform project leadership role on small initiatives
Provide technical leadership and complete complex system level assignments
Analyze, design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain programs
Develop and modify complex procedures considering equipment capacity and
limitations Formulate and define system scope and objectives
Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans
Utilize one of several programming languages (PeopleSoft Financials 9.0
specifically asset management modules, SQR, Application Designer/PeopleTools,
UNIX/LINUX, PeopleSoft Financials 9.0 Upgrade experience. Mainframe COBOL, JCL
would be a plus!
Provide quality assurance reviews
Conduct discussions and/or meetings with IS Management and end users
Research and prepare system time/cost estimates
Mentor less-experienced developers
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management
Information Systems, etc.) preferred or equivalent experience in information
systems
Five or more years experience in PeopleSoft Financials 9.0 (asset management)
software development and support
Five or more years experience in SQR, PeopleTools, UNIX/LINUX, Mainframe
COBOL/JCL(this would be a plus)
PeopleSoft Upgrade experience (Upgrading to PeopleSoft 9.0)
Knowledge of financial services industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment and/or as an individual contributor, as
required
Qualifying Questions
How many years of "hands-on" software development/support experience do you
have?
What specific programming languages have you had experience with development?
What type of experience do you have with the language, and how long ago did you
use it?
What specific hardware platforms have you had experience with development?
Are you familiar with or have you used a structured software development
methodology?
Can you name the phases of the software lifecycle?
Have you had database experience or course work?
Are you willing to support and maintain assignments as well as new development?
If the job requires, are you willing to work on site for implementations that
occur after hours or on weekends?
