You should be a strong technical program manager looking for an opportunity
to use your creative ideas, technical knowledge, user empathy, strong
cross-team partnerships, and solid interpersonal skills to build that
world-class product! Your responsibilities would include, Defining and
spec-ing radio and feature requirements for WifI, Bluetooth and GPS platform
for a WM7 based device. Distilling requirements into well written specs for
eningeering team deliverables in the areas of WIFI , Bluetooth and GPS
platforms. Running scrum meetings with peer dev and test engineers to
deliver against the spec requirements and schedule Working with UI and BSP
team to review x-team requirements. Rolling up status to upper mgmt with
status, risks and dependencies in the program . Managing silicon partner(s)
and ensuring timely support for the Microsoft engg team is provided.
Organising technical workshops and brainstorm meetings as needed Redmond.
7-10 yrs of experience deep experience with wince6.0 and windows mobile
WIFI, BT and GPS features specifically. Deep experience with Wifi, Bluetooth
and GPS features , stack and end to end development of that functionality
Experience shipping devices with top operators and requirements for the
Wifi, BT and GPS requirements and certifications. Ability to ramp up on new
technologies and new service domains quickly. Excellent written and verbal
communication skills.A strong understanding of mobile technologies including
Windows Mobile, radio (Wifi, BT, GPS), BSP, and low level drivers knowledge
is a plus. Strong negotiation and conflict management skill demonstrated
with customers, stakeholders, peer engineering teams, project team members,
and partners. Must understand how to influence and impact others. Experience
managing silicon vendors and/or OEM partners is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically about the
technical, business and cross-functional issues in bringing new products to
market. Experience managing and shipping mobile devices with operators is
highly desired.
