LEAD VMWARE ENGINEER

Lead network engineer, with minimal direction, consults and implements complex
infrastructure and application deployment activities with full competency in
specific disciplines and good working knowledge of interfaces and dependencies.
Acts as a source of training, direction, and guidance to less experienced
staff. Has limited, indirect accountability for people development. Drives
system and business changes. System and infrastructure deployment activities
may include managing small and medium projects, coordinating and defining team
activities and monitoring project schedules and costs. Support activities may
include cross functional area problem root cause analysis, tuning metric
development, and developing systems administration and maintenance guidelines.
Governance and compliance activities include developing and implementing
compliance strategies, managing security incidences, evaluating GIS global
programs and processes for improvements and gaps.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Self-motivated
Technical documentation skills required
Strong understanding of SAN and NAS technologies.(Netapp)
VMware ESX 3, ESX 2.5.x
VMware Server/GSX
VMWare Virtual Center 1.3, 2.x
Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Windows XP/Server 2000/Server 2003
VMware SDKs
Networking and security technologies and products
Enterprise experience required
P2V with Windows NT4, 2000 and 2K3 servers
Looking for someone with experience in the dynamic field of IT, extensive
knowledge in windows system administration, server virtualization, AD
management and other similar technologies. VMWare ESX platform for server
consolidation and virtualization.
