Position: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Duration: 60 Months (5 Years)
Rate: $45 BEST RATE
The Senior Network Engineer is a member of a network operations team in
Harrisburg, PA. The team's primary responsibility is the management of a Cisco
network infrastructure supporting a large web application hosting environment
and related disaster recovery sites. The hosting environment comprises 500
Wintel servers and 200 Web-facing applications and continues to grow. It is
widely recognized for its innovative use of the latest technologies from
Microsoft, Cisco and Checkpoint.
Provides troubleshooting and maintenance services for a LAN/MAN/WAN network
infrastructure
Reviews, tests and executes configuration tasks that enhance reliability and
redundancy, increase bandwidth, improve traffic flow, and ensures the maximum
availability of the network infrastructure
Designs and configures settings for switches and routers in multi-protocol
inter-networks
Carries out performance, security monitoring, and documentation of the relevant
network segments to ensure data integrity and environmental safety
Assists customers with determining their requirements for network performance,
security, capacity and scalability
Provides high-level design services for inter-network architecture, which could
include LANs, routed and switched WANs, and remote access networks
Conducts network baselines and makes necessary recommendations.
Certification:
Certified Cisco Networking Professional (Required)
Certified Cisco Design Professional (Required)
Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator (Required)
CISSP (Preferred but not required)
If the candidate does not have any one of the three required certifications,
he/she must commit to obtaining it within three months of starting work on this
project.
