Description: Start Date: 12/15/08 Operating System (s): Windows 2003 & Solaris Job Duties: Works collaboratively across teams (Network Operations, Software Development, Software Architecture, Infrastructure Engineering) to ensure that the architecture and design implemented is supportable, reliable, efficient and meets the Operational requirements for Performance and Availability. Under general direction lead and participate in administration, analysis, design, evaluation, programming, testing and support of complex information systems with a focus on an Enterprise Search System. Provide leadership and solutions for the review and implementation of the Enterprise Search system and connected applications. Work with various development/test/staging/production environments and interfaces with numerous IT groups and functions to effectively implement and develop/enhance the Enterprise Search System. Conduct system process design through user interviews, researching technical architecture and or user requirement options, and producing design documents that support user technical design. Plan organize and control work efforts provide status of progress tasks completed and outstanding issues. Creates appropriate documentation in support of Medtronic requirements for validated systems. Minimum 2 years with Windows Server Admin in an operations capacity. Previous experience in the maintenance and support of enterprise level technical solutions and tiered architecture systems in Windows and Unix Platforms. Previous experience with Shell Scripting, Perl, HTML and XML. JavaScript and Java experience. Tomcat, Apache, Solaris and Windows Server 2003.
