Position: SAS
We do have any opportunity for our client at Wilmington DE for a SAS analyst
to sit in Wilmington, DE. Position projected to begin in the new year, but
resumes submittals and IV's can occur ASAP. BoA experience preferred, Card
Services/Financial experience a must.
Max rate $35/hr CC
Duration: 6 months
*Candidates must be able to pass background & drug tests
Overview:
The position includes but is not limited to, converting FOCUS queries into SAS
language, executing converted SAS queries, participating in code walkthroughs,
documenting query functions and output, following set project priorities,
creating and communicating project deliverables to users and management,
analyzing processes and requirements, creating and executing test plans,
participating in test result walkthroughs, interfacing with other development
areas, and potentially developing management reporting. The individual will be
required to write clear and efficient SAS code. Prior mainframe and PC SAS
knowledge and experience are required. Experience running SQL SAS against DB2
mainframes is preferred. This role may consult with business leaders to
identify business needs and have a supporting role in large, more complex
analysis projects and a leading role in smaller, less complex analysis
projects. The individual may also assist with the development and enhancement
of operational functions, and will be required to respond to changing demands
and new priorities of a growth oriented organization. The individual must be
able to produce detailed documentation and take initiative in problem solving.
Strong analytical and organizational skills are critical as well as the ability
to work independently. Prior banking experience preferred.
Qualifications:
. Experience with mainframe and PC SAS (required)
. Experience writing SQL SAS against DB2 mainframe (required)
. Experience working with developers/architects to optimize or establish
metedata based on business requirements and needs (preferred)
. Prior banking experience (preferred)
