Duration: 6+ months ****Local Candidates given preference***** Description: As we know it is tough to gain feedback, so it should be someone who may be on a project rolling off in 2 weeks plus or someone on bench that knows we may not here any feedback till January. The client is seeking a contractor for a short term (6 months) contracting position. Client is seeking a highly experienced Excel/VBA expert to design and implement an intelligent data entry and export tool, dynamically customized with data from our existing database, to meet new requirements for capturing and exporting monthly operating data from thousands of Ground Water public water supplies. This new Excel application will build on the current Surface Water application and will include development of VBA code to provide intelligence to the workbook, to build specially formatted .csv export files from the Excel data, and to provide automated copying, renaming and deletion of Excel workbook files. Some of this data must be prepared for electronic submittal to the EPA in a CROMERR compliant manner through the EPA's SDWIS Lab-to-State web application. DENR also desires the selected candidate to be proficient in building simple MS Access/VBA applications, though the primary need is for the Excel/VBA skills. Required: . Strong customer orientation with experience working closely with clients from detailed requirements gathering through completion of project. . Experience in MS Excel. . Experience using VBA (within Excel). . Strong command of the English language - both verbal and written. . Strong customer service skills. Preferred: . Minimum of 7 years experience in all required skills and/or abilities. . Experience preparing data for CROMERR compliant electronic transfer to EPA through EPA's SDWIS Lab-to-State web application .
