Position: Mainframe Programmer with FoxPro

Programmer Analyst III (Applications Development - PC) - with specialty in Fox
Pro, Visual Basic, People Soft or JAVA and Data base expertise in DB2, FoxPro
and SQL Server.
Knowledge of IWAY adapters and Software AG's SQL Gateway, Applink, VSAM and
ADABAS Connx products.
Expertise could be in one or any combination.

Client requires the services of experienced and technically qualified IT
Mainframe, PC and Web based Programming and Administrator's consulting
professionals pertaining to the conversion of legacy application systems and
programs into the z/LINUX platform. These professionals will provide
programming support within in the planned conversion process as follows:
Analyzation of COBOL CICS, COBOL BATCH, NATURAL, ASSEMBLER, VISUAL BASIC,
PEOPLE SOFT and FOX PRO programs; Document all related data files, data bases,
and data dictionaries or DDL; Develop test scripts; Develop test plans; Analyze
and define program linkages and application relationships across all NYPD data
components and interfaces; Compile, test and debug the legacy programs. During
this legacy analysis process decisions will be made, by the NYPD, as to whether
to extend the conversion process beyond MVS arena and/or to additionally
convert certain programs to the web based Intranet/ Internet JAVA z-LINUX
platform using an enterprise portal concept.
