Location: Saint Louis, MO Duration: 3+ Months Best rate: $50/Hr MAX F2F is required after telephonic round. Candidates must be local or nearby to MO. General Qualifications: Degree Preference: Bachelor's or greater degree preferred, emphasis in Information Systems/Computer Science. Certification Requirement: Network or security-related certifications a plus (ex., CISSP, etc.). Primary Responsibilities: 1) Assess risk, evaluate security, identify vulnerabilities and corrective actions, and review for compliance with security policies and practices. 2) Participate in the selection and implementation of technologies and security solutions. 3) Coordinate/oversee third party security reviews, penetration testing, and consulting projects as necessary. 4) Participate as needed in security event response processes. Required General Skills: 1) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical/non-technical communication, documentation and presentations. 2) Ability to assess risk and provide innovative solutions balancing security and business requirements. 3) Strong planning, organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects without direct supervision. 4) Ability to work independently, to follow a work plan, meet project milestones, and interact with various levels of management. 5) Energetic team player with strong initiative, team orientation, and excellent problem solving skills. Required Technical Skills: 1) Security Specialist - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience. Information Security Specialist preferred with 3 or more years experience in information security, including security design, architecture, and risk/vulnerability assessment or 5+ years as a Microsoft Windows and/or UNIX administrator. 2) Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft and UNIX based technologies, security and operating systems/applications (UNIX, AS400, Linux, AIX, Microsoft 2003, XP) - Expert with 5 year(s) experience. The years of experience here can be concurrent with item #1. 3) Strong technical knowledge and experience in networking and TCP/IP, as well as general network, wireless technologies, platform, and application security technologies and practices - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience. Preferred Technical Skills: 1) Network Operations - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience. 2) Application security knowledge, especially applied experience in application development and vulnerability assessments - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience. 3) Database security knowledge and experience a plus - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.
