Cognos 8.3 Developer
3 month contract to hire (must be a citizen, green card or EAD)
Design and incrementally implement an extensible Web application development
framework that provides a customized set of capabilities which extend the
default functionality available in Cognos 8.3. Develop custom Web applications,
using this framework, that improve product development cycle time, quality and
consistency.
Chicago location although limited travel may be required.
Required Skills:
. Deep experience with the Cognos 8.3 SDK, the object model, and the
development of customer facing Web applications
. Deep experience with Cognos Connection
. Deep experience with J2EE development
. Deep experience with JSF 1.1 (Struts 2, Spring a plus)
. Experience with Cognos 8.3 ReportStudio, QueryStudio, Framework Manager
. Experience with Web Services development
. Experience with, JUnit, JSP, Hiberbate
. Experience with the AIX Operating System and DB2/UDB V9 a plus
. Experience with the Rational Application Developer IDE a plus
. Experience with the Rational Unified Process and associated SDLC technologies
(i.e., ClearCase, ClearQuest, ReqPro, Rose and SODA);
. Strong analytic, problem solving, and collaborative skills
. Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
. Recognized business presence

Programming Languages J2EE Yes 2 Expert Currently Using 2 - 4 Years
Programming Languages Java Yes 1 Expert Currently Using 2 - 4 Years
