Job Description:
Mobile Software Developer
You will work with Product and Marketing teams to define and get to market
applications and services for mobile devices that will change the way people
use their mobile phones and PDA's.
Responsibilities
a.. Development of client software for messaging and web based applications
b.. Work with team of 2-5 developers for delivery of commercial quality code
c.. Design experience for mobile applications.
d.. Rapid prototyping of mobile applications in cooperation with marketing
and product development teams
e.. Application pretesting, porting and integration in extensive
collaboration and interaction with other development teams such as UI
designers, mobile requirements SMEs, software vendors, and handset OEMs
f.. Scouting of mobile applications market in the search of new innovative
applications, software concepts and mobile technologies
g.. Development of User Interfaces for mobile device
h.. Cooperation with Hardware teams regarding software porting and testing
Qualifications and Technologies Used
a.. 2 plus years experience in mobile Java programming (J2ME)
b.. Android development experience, professionally or side development
projects
c.. Experience in managing or participating in open source software
development projects
d.. Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) management.
Familiarity with formal SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, RUP) a plus.
e.. Knowledge of Mobile Internet Standardization. OMA, IETF & 3GPP.
f.. Familiarity with software architecture (embedded or open OS) for mobile
and consumer electronics devices
a.. Some familiarity with wireless network technologies and GSM/GPRS
client/server architecture, supplementary services, EDGE, UMTS IMS, LBS,
SyncML, SMS, MMS, and WAP, a plus.
a.. Good written and verbal communication skills
b.. Candidates Local to the Atlanta area only
c.. BS or MS in Computer Science, EE, or equivalent experience required.
