EDI Architect with Healthcare background located in Chatanooga, TN

 

6 Months to Hire

 

Team, 

We are looking for an Sr. Application Architect (may have some Enterprise 
Architecture or Solutions Architecture experience) with EDI experience, 
specifically with 835 and 837 transactions, which means they will have to have 
come from a Healthcare background.  Leadership skills and excellent 
communication are key here, as this individual will begin working on a pretty 
high profile project at CIGNA.  Good candidates have come from Blue Cross, 
Aetna, and some have been former CIGNA. 

Contract to hire in Chattanooga, TN.  Client may also consider Raleigh, NC or 
Bloomfield, CT, but she is really pushing for TN. 

Sr. Application Architect, possibly with some Enterprise or Solution Architect 
experience 
Need experience with EDI 837, 835, 277, 977 transactions (which will mean they 
have to have come from healthcare background) 
B2B (837 stuff) workstream 
Gentran or Sterling products 

Job Title: Architecture Manager (Sr. Design Architect) 
    
Duties: Is viewed as an expert in IT systems architecture. Undertakes complex 
projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Makes 
well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous IT architecture issues. 
Coordinates with users to determine requirements. Ensures that system 
improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. 
Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for design team. Acts as 
a resource for direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff. 
Monitors project risks, schedules and costs. Responsible for delivering 
direction on the designs for a specific application or a suite of applications. 
The deliverable of the Design Architect is a logical (LAA) solution 
architecture for a set of business requirements that defines how the needs of 
an entire project/ program impact the applications within a department or 
across many departments. 
Manages, plans and administers the operational and administrative activities of 
the Systems Architecture section. Plans and schedules the development, 
introduction, communication and maintenance of the corporate systems 
architecture including the applications, data, and infrastructure architectures 
and assures that this architecture is integrated with the business area 
architectures. May organize and control the activities of the section, may 
assign personnel to the various projects and may direct their activities.   
    
Skills: Requires excellent planning, conceptual, consulting and communication 
skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills, and the 
ability to interact with senior business area and IT management and staff 
solutions. Specific experience as a solution architect, with experience in 
Claim Systems and/or Healthcare, and mainframe architectures required. 
Experience with EDI, .NET, JAVA, WebServices a plus.   
    
Education: Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and 
typically eight to ten years experience
