Location:Des Moines, IA Pay Rate: Open Length:6 months * Title:IT Project Manager Skills:*Sr. IT PM with Business Protection (Compliance) and Information Security project experience,* MS Project, Project Portfolio Management System experience, excellent communication and team skills This resource will ensure the successful completion of project deliverables in accordance with requirements from the sponsoring business entity. Prefer senior level experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading projects, preferably IT based. Role will be a significant coordination with technology and/or business teams. Accountabilities: * Manages the definition, development and delivery of information technology and/or business projects, which meet the requirements, costs and schedules as approved. * Utilizes client Project Management Methodology including supporting tools, artifacts and processes to deliver projects. Experience in driving efforts and initiatives through typical project management life cycle activities and processes, and completing required deliverables. Follows and adheres to company defined CPO and IT standards and procedures * Experience in the management of project management processes; financial, scope, plans, resources, etc. Develops, oversees and measures the projects work effort on the following dimensions: scope, quality, time, cost, resources, communication, issue resolution, risk mitigation, procurement and integration. * Leads selective projects by: requesting resources based on a projects specific needs; managing the work activities of project resources; following sound project methodologies, practices and company policies; implements the resulting solution to the satisfaction of the business stakeholders * Develops project and communication plans for each project, which involves the client and impacted departments. Keeps appropriate parties informed of the projects progress and problems. Maintains project financials and provides regular updates via status reporting and phase gate reviews * Working with and obtaining approvals from key project stakeholders and participants on work initiatives, including working directly with senior management. Ability to presents to management the status of the project, outcomes and risks. Communicates with senior management the status of specific sub projects related to the overall project * Creates performance metrics based upon the time entry system and project results * Ability to facilitate and lead discussions and meetings with business and technical resources. Ability to be a self starter, thrive in a certain level of ambiguity and readily adapt to the culture at the client. * Ability to engage project sponsors on a regular basis in review of project deliverables, issues, risks, business drivers and business case benefits * Utilizes the client designated work environment tools, including IT, HR and other client systems Experience: * Five (5+) or more years of progressively responsible project management experience * Experience in driving efforts and initiatives through typical project management life cycle activities and processes.
