They are looking for a Quality Assurance engineer who has experience testing. I will post the job details below to give you a better idea of the position. The technical skills that are nice to have are SQL Server, Cognos, and Powerbuilder. A Senior Testing Consultant is needed to help with test planning, test case development and test execution of a large application portfolio that is being upgraded as part of several infrastructure projects. The Testing Consultant should possess the following skills, experience and knowledge: Relevant Bachelors Degree, specialized training, certification, or equivalent experience 3 to 4 years of proven Insurance or related industry experience in test planning, test case development and execution, involving full life cycle testing. Scope includes functional testing, unit testing, integration testing and regression testing of client server applications. Ability to work with peers and customers to quickly comprehend and test complex business applications. Ability to effectively document and communicate testing results and other issues with peers, business users and other project stakeholders. Experience in developing, overseeing and maintaining complex project documentation, including test approach, test planning, detail test plans and scripts, and other business/technical testing documentation. A strong team orientation, with proven customer service, teamwork, and mentoring experience in a technology environment Superior ability to organize work and time, using proactive thinking, organization, time management, and multi-tasking abilities. Strong working knowledge in IT/Business Claim or Reinsurance Operations, with understanding of accounting or financial data, process, and reporting is a plus. Mastery in knowledge and application of technical testing techniques. Requirements, testing or data modeling experience in a Data Warehousing environment is a plus. Specific technical skills desired include knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Cognos reporting tool and PowerBuilder applications.
