Position: Oracle Functional Analyst - Order Management
Location: Seattle Washington
Duration: 6 - Months
Rate: ALAP
This is a "backfill" opportunity - and there is NO other competition on this
requirement (at the moment).
Position: Oracle Functional Analyst - Order Management
Basic Function: The Oracle Functional Analyst is responsible for design, and
implementation of common processes on Oracle Core Model in coordination with
business process owners/leaders/experts.
Overview: This Sr. Consultant will provide functional and business process
experience on Oracle Order Management associated with an Oracle Applications
11i e-Business Suite v11.5.10.2 global roll-out. You MUST have in-depth
knowledge of all Oracle EBS Order-to Cash modules.
This Sr. Consultant will work on the implementation of Oracle Applications 11 i
e-Business Suite V11.5.10.2 specifically within the Order Management
implementation team. This group's responsibilities include Oracle 11i
Order-to-Cash (the Order Management /OM module), Pricing, Oracle
Shipping/Transportation and inventory.
As part of this team the Sr. Consultant's will work on the following tasks as
outlined in these high level task descriptions. However, as the project
progresses, it is likely additional tasks will be assigned as dictated by the
evolution of the project and business requirements;
a.. Conduct necessary requirement gathering interviews in order to
determine the technical interfacing, and operational requirements and
constraints of implementing Oracle Applications 11i e-Business Suite.
b.. Develop an understanding of the business requirements and objectives in
order to document the software GAPs and solutions.
c.. Develop detailed system and program specifications; create the business
models and business requirement scenarios.
Principle Functional Responsibilities
a.. Build client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations
b.. Design and enable both process and system automation for customers
(internal and external) through cost effective solutions
c.. Work with manager and PMO team to understand project's strategic
impacts, and provide inputs to develop an integrated project plan with steps to
mitigate risk.
d.. Continuously monitor performance against the plan, and report status
and other metrics related to the assigned project(s)
e.. Work extensively with Oracle Apps in Order-to-Cash
f.. Gather business requirements, perform gap analysis, provide estimates,
and create functional specification documents to meet the requirements.
g.. Assist development team in creating technical specifications and
provide support with unit testing.
h.. Create functional test scenarios/scripts, perform testing, and support
user acceptance testing of the developed solutions.
i.. Develop/support end user training documentation as required.
j.. Coordinate with all organizations involved to meet system requirements
(e.g. input data acquisition, output requirements, data validation, retention,
archiving, and system techniques and controls)
k.. Assist with creation of detailed implementation plans
l.. Effectively communicate application changes to the affected parties
m.. Provide post implementation support for the implemented solutions. This
would involve analyzing issues to figure out the best solutions,, and working
with technical and change management teams to get the changes implemented
n.. Follow the organization's SDLC process and contribute to continued
process improvement initiatives
o.. Experience with requirements definition and mapping; applying
configuration changes; development of test plans, scenarios, and scripts;
leading UAT execution
Qualifications and skills required
a.. 6+ years hands-on, functional experience with delivery and
configuration of Oracle Order Management and related modules
b.. 8+ years experience in working on full life-cycle Oracle projects
c.. Bachelor's Degree in a business related area
d.. Strong leadership and communication skills
e.. Oracle skills in relevant application areas
f.. Good analytical skills utilizing structured development and problem
solving techniques
g.. Good project management skills
h.. Prior Experience in applying Oracle 11i functionality to solve business
problems
