Attach updated resume: Pay rate expected: Present Location : Work Status: Contact Info : Availability to join (in how many day?s notice): Title: ETL Lead Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 6 months + contract JOB DESCRIPTION: Attends all technical meetings relevant to planned and adhoc Marketing Initiatives and projects involving ETL activities Provides technical oversight in all aspects of design and implementation of major projects Attends code reviews and provides feedback and direction on necessary coding changes Assists in/Directs troubleshooting production issues, diagnosis of problem, and implementation of fix Provides senior oversight for usage of applicable CM tools (ClearCase and ClearQuest) Provides Release Engineer support for onshore developers including movement of BTEQ scripts, Perl programs, informatica mappings and workflows, UC4 jobs and jobplans, and Unix shell scripts. Makes sure newly promoted code is checked into ClearCase Provides technical training and assistance to all team members Initiates POs and add funds as necessary to provide funding for contractor and consultant support services Contacts Consulting Service agencies and asks for candidate resumes and provides phone screening and arranges on-site interviews for candidates Provides individual performance based feedback to personnel providing contractor and consultant support services Terminates, on-boards, and off-boards contractor and consultant personnel Provides inputs for quarterly roadmap planning activities Provides effort estimates and scoping for approved projects Reviews and recommends changes to Business Requirement Documents and Technical Design Documents Meets with business to review business requirements and recommend technical solutions L1 Management Activities providing supervision and guidance of daily activities for Developers, BAs, PMs, and Offshore Development Teams Conducts comprehensive data analysis to determine proper implementation of LDM and PDM Researches data anomalies and discrepancies to identify ETL issues and design discrepancies Does advanced program development in one of the following Ø Informatica Ø Java Ø Perl Ø Ksh scripts Ø Bash scripts Ø BTEQ Scripts Ø UC4 Scheduler Provides guidance on program tuning and performance enhancements for Teradata queries Develops and documents standards and procedures for developers Develops and implements policy concerning TECH/OP issues such as Production Support Activities, and handling of outages.
