Job Description:
BACKGROUND:
USAC requires the services of a contractor to support the development and
implementation of new business functionality for its billing system.
SCOPE OF WORK:
Perform software development and maintenance tasks assigned under the
guidance of Company management. These tasks may include but not be limited
to:
Development and implementation of new business functionality to support
E-file (Form 498) and related applications and systems.
Work with USAC technical staff, including network engineers and database
administrators, to analyze and improve system performance.
Use the Company's version control system, Visual SourceSafe, to manage
software code.
Adhere to the Company's standard Software Development Life Cycle ("SDLC").
Develop and / or update technical design based upon requirements
specifications.\
Develop and / or fix software applications, using the tools that fulfill the
requirements specifications and conform to the technical design.
Perform unit-level testing of modified components.
Support system and user acceptance testing.
Correct issues found during system and user acceptance testing.
Create other technical documentation, including user and administrator
guides and configuration management plans.
Other tasks as assigned by USAC management.
REQUIRED SKILL-SET AND EXPERIENCE:
Proposed resource should possess a minimum of ten years of industry
experience and a minimum of five years hands-on software development
experience in all of the following technologies:
SDLC development lifecycle/ deployment experience with demonstrated
successful projects required. Experience with system integration projects
desired.
Strong experience using Adobe action script or JavaScript is required.
Internet application development experience (C#.NET, VB.NET, Classic ASP,
XML) with strong understanding of session management and application
security challenges.
General knowledge of Finance and Accounting processes desired
Experience with Identity Management Systems strongly desired.
Strong understanding of RDBMS Concepts, MS SQL Server 2000/5
Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Solution Framework desired.
Visual SourceSafe, Configuration Management
Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills, Technical Documentation
Skills.
