Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives 2. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results 3. Prepares detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written 4. Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents those programs 5. Provides technical leadership on complex projects 6. May act as expert in business applications and/or cross functional areas 7. Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced programmer/analysts.
