Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 6+ months Best rate: $50-52/Hr Best LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED. Required Skills: Public sector background a MUST. The client is replacing multiple legacy systems with an n-Tier integrated solution utilizing web Portals and JAVA development language. The Labor Exchange Project requires a senior level Software Architect that has experience in the full life cycle of software development and support activities with at least two long term projects completed in Technical/Solution Architect capacity, minimum duration of each project must be at least 6 months. The candidate must have professional experience working with the Rational Software Suite especially ClearCase and ClearQuest. Working with architects, developers, and QA staff, the candidate will design efficient and repeatable build and deploy processes. Initial assignment will involve, working with Rational consultants, installing the Rational Suite and rolling out the tools to the team. Candidate must be capable of working in a J2EE architecture environment utilizing various commercial and open source technologies. Candidate must have management abilities including mentorship, setting and enforcing architecture standards, providing work estimates, performing code reviews, organization and delegation. Candidate shall be responsible for designing; implementing reusable frameworks to solve business and technical issues. Architect will create architecture and design documents in compliance with Standard Software Processes, create innovative and efficient technical solutions, identifying product /technologies that need to be researched, providing architecture context to product research, conducting research on vendor software as needed. The candidate will also interact with other team members and GDOL management. Candidate will stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in software development industry. H1b's OK.
