SQL Architect/Developer Washington, DC Skills: Mandatory Strong analytical and design skills Strong SQL programming skills Strong experience integrating SQL databases with SharePoint. Strong .Net programming skills Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision Strong software program documentation skills Detail oriented Desirable Demonstrated business analysis experience SharePoint workflow experience Software: 1. SQL; SharePoint; .NET; and Microsoft Suite Produce an approach and plan on how to complete the following work; the tools required; and the schedule Create and/or support the business requirements for the SQL database from an existing spreadsheet containing external communication flow records and corresponding metadata Design an SQL database off of an existing spreadsheet containing external communication flow records and corresponding metadata. This includes producing an entity model that describes the relationship amongst the data elements. Present the entity model to the project sponsor for approval. Translate the business requirements into detail data specifications. Create and unit test the SQL database. Design a front end to allow future update, add, delete of records to the SQL database. Explore options to integrate the SQL database with SharePoint as the front end, and potential other options. Present the options and level of effort to the project sponsor. Create the front end to the SQL database using the chosen option. Create a program / or use an existing SQL utility to convert the existing spreadsheet containing external communication flow records and corresponding metadata into the SQL database. Produce documentation and train internal staff on the workings of the database and front end. Analyze existing application maintenance processes and recommend ongoing steps to maintain the process in conjunction with the existing maintenance. Complete approved identified steps to productionalize the database and front end.
