Developing in a Data Warehouse environment included but not limited to. (Business Objects, ETL, Informatica, SAS ) Must have technical expertise and be involved in portions of the analysis phase of the application development cycle. Works with little supervision on the analysis, design, coding and testing of components of larger systems. Interacts with end users to develop detailed specifications from which code will be written. Develops project plans and reports progress to Insurance's management. Understanding of relational database environments. Experience with the Business Objects and Oracle toolsets using PL/SQL, SQL*Plus and Business Objects WEBI and full-client tools. Proven technical and analytical skills. Ability to develop work plans and follow through on assignments with minimal guidance. Utilize Business Objects tools to maintain, design, develop, test, implement and document delivery solutions. Interface with business customers, business analysts, data analysts, other developers and IT support staff to complete assignments. Perform design, development and unit testing to enhance systems and batch processes supporting reinsurance processing at Insurance. The reinsurance system consists of a vendor product (ProCede) and homegrown Operational data store and a reporting environment. All data movement and processing logic is done via Informatica and pl/sql with scheduling via autosys.
