Position: EDI consultant Location: Indianapolis, IN Duration: 6 -12 months Best Rate: $40-45//hour We have a new need in Indianapolis, IN for an EDI consultant. Please see the details below and let me know if you have anyone that fits all of the required skills/experience. Do to client specifications:ALL candidates must be local to Indianapolis. Start date: 11/30/09 Max rate: up to $40-45//hour INITIATIVE OVERVIEW We currently have multiple order entry systems (custom COSS, PIMS, and PeopleSoft) feeding in and out of the Inovis Biz Manager suite using BizConnect Professional version 3.2. We utilize a secured FTP protocol (CuteFTP), and an AS2 protocol through our GXS Value Added Network (VAN). For the inbound EDI, we have developed a "Traffic Cop" that determines which of the order entry systems should receive the inbound data. The majority of our ANSI X.12 transaction sets are Purchase Orders, Purchase Order changes, Material Releases, Advanced Ship Notices, and Invoices. The consultant work being requested has been arranged into four categories: (1) Infrastructure, (2) Elimination of Pain Points, (3) Consistent Set of Standard Services and Templates, and (4) Tactical Go Gets. We are estimating a 13 week engagement in Indianapolis, Indiana. Consultant Work Infrastructure (4 weeks) a.. Review inbound and outbound system flow (especially traffic cop) and recommend improvement actions b.. AS2 for Motion c.. Replace current secured FTP (Cute FTP) with more robust functionality for AIT, and potentially others d.. Inovis functional acknowledgements for documents sent/received (997 reconciliation report) e.. Apply Inovis patch-audit trail issue Elimination of Pain Points (6-10 weeks) a.. Health check dashboard-counts, traffic cop, Inovis b.. Tool for CustomerCare self-service to see raw inbound EDI (readable format) c.. Tool for CustomerCare self-service to see raw outbound EDI (PO Ackn, ASN, invoice) d.. Implement 824 rejection notice for inbound-reject only bad lines and continuing processing good lines e.. CustomerCare visibility to 824 rejection reports f.. Explore other reports within Inovis-doc group, number of packages, what else available? g.. Inovis job logs readability (since new release they are hard to read) Consistent Set of Standard Services and Templates (2 weeks) a.. Best practices on standard maps, handling special requests b.. EDI specs/standards for all documents c.. EDI rules of engagement (intro pack) for new customers Tactical Go Gets (1 week) a..
