Overview: Responsible for leading the planning and monitoring of the analysis and design of the full cycle of SAP MDM implementation. This position will interact with the Program manager, process owners, project lead, business and tech analyst, T contacts to provide team leadership and hands-on SAP MDM technical and functional expertise in the areas of Materials, vendors, customers and deliveries. Business Objectives (how): ? Adheres to Six Sigma methodology for change management ? Architects an Enterprise Data Management solution and provides business, governance and technical recommendations ? Raises quality of EDM strategy, design and implementation across the practice by sharing insights and methods through training, community, etc. ? Weekly updates and communications with Program Manager ? Ensures outcomes that conform to business values and strategies ? Prioritizes project tasks and identifies areas of potential risk ? Mentors less experienced staff ? Manages the business side and works with the technical team's Project Manager in planning and managing application design and architecture activities Project Objectives (what): ? Conducts process design and configuration, SAP design, development, integration, testing and deployment, and/or SAP technical architecture. ? Develops project plans that satisfy product development needs and business objectives. ? Balances resource allocation to ensure that all critical projects are resourced effectively, works with project lead to provide guidance on resource communications ? Monitors project status, updates schedules, and makes timely reports to program manager and team members. Provides visibility for potential problems. ? Understands and adheres to product development processes and standards; aids management in their optimization and maintenance. ? Planning, managing, driving and monitoring: - Application Assessment and Requirements activities - Performs gap analysis between business requirements and software - Status of assisting clients in defining key capabilities/requirements that will enable their strategy - Creates functional requirements as an input to application design, SAP CoE and deployment teams to determine EMDM requirements (blueprinting) - Status of driving project deliverable templates and standards (including coding standards, etc) - Creates complex conceptual designs (including application interfaces and interactions) - Plans and manages program-wide application build, test, and deploy activities - Identifies and monitors interdependencies between various application implementation activities - Plans and establishes after go-live activities, including ongoing application support - Documents business and technical requirements - Performs testing work ? Define, develop and execute: - Creates records of source standards and business/technical logic - Performs data cleansing, data validation rules and processes, data integration and flow processes, and de-duping procedures - Performs data migration and integration from ITT legacy systems into ITTs SAP solutions - Identifies and deploys tools for data migration, archiving and integration - Develops and maintains security, access standards and control - Works with SAP CoE and deployment teams to determine EMDM requirements - Defines and develops record mapping standards and requirements - Identifies and deploys tools for data migration, archiving and integration Basic Qualifications and Module focus: ? 2 - 4 years experience with SAP in any of the following areas: MM, MDM, BW ? Deep knowledge of more than one EDM toolset (MDM, Metadata, Data Quality) such as: - SAP Netweaver/MDM suite (incl. Business Objects) - Oracle PDM/DRM/DataHub/Hyperion MDM tools - IBM WebSphere MDM tools ? 4+ years of experienced in managing IM/EDM efforts and project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live. This effort can be within a management consulting environment ? 6+ years of relevant data management consulting (master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality) or industry experience ? Significant experience leading complex data management engagements and team sizes ranging from 5-20 resources. ? Strong implementation experience and deep knowledge in any one of the following three areas and knowledge of the other 2 areas at a minimum.
