Position 1 - Washington DC, 1 Yr Proj.
This contractor will work in an analytics role for our loss forecasting and
allowance team. Candidates should have a strong financial background and be
familiar with SAS production systems. The technical expertise will be in
more of an analytical function.
Responsibilities:
. Assist in analyzing, summarizing, and communicating the results of loss
forecasting, allowance, and related models to senior management and other
stakeholders.
. Use advanced financial and mathematical analysis skills to conduct
research on credit-loss related issues not directly addressed in our models.
. Develop tools and algorithms to support various aspects of the forecast
process including designing adjustments in response to ongoing policy and
industry changes.
. Liaise with partners in various divisions of the company that provide
inputs to the credit loss forecast and allowance process.
Qualifications:
. Master in Finance or Economics or Other Advanced Degree.
. Experience with statistical tools such as SAS or Stata are required.
. 5+ years of business analysis experience, preferably in credit loss
analytics. Some experience in mortgage markets, credit models and modeling
and data analysis techniques is a must.
. Ability to work independently across the organization and handle multiple
initiatives simultaneously.
. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally
with a diverse group, executives, managers and subject matter experts
. Ability to collaborate with model developers and subject matter experts
Requirement 2 - Dallas, TX, 1 Yr Proj
Mortgage Fraud Analyst
This individual will be working with the Mortgage Fraud Program and have the
following responsibilities:
. Maintain and enter names onto the Fannie Mae Watch List
. Assist with a clean-up effort to ensure all names are included on the
watch List.
. Reconcile and track the names added weekly on an Excel spreadsheet.
Candidate needs to possess the following skills:
. Ability to multitask and be organized
. Strong analytical skills
. Attention to detail
. Strong communication skills
. Team player
Experience:
. Candidates with a mortgage background are required. Mortgage fraud
background is a plus.
. 4+ years analytical experience
. 4+ years underwriting experience. Maintain a sound knowledge of Fannie Mae
guidelines, DU guidelines, and risk assessment tools used to decision
mortgage loans.
. Experience working with and analyzing data in an Excel spreadsheet.
Requirement 3 - Herndon VA, 1 Yr proj, 6 months initially
Business Analyst
. Serve as the primary business representative for related systems
development work. Work closely with the development team to convey business
requirements, and subsequently, to articulate and document functional
specifications. Represent the business users in analyzing and critiquing
systems development proposals. This includes such concepts as database
design, user-interface, and system generated reports. Communicate technical
concepts to non-technical audience, such that pertinent issues can be
discussed and resolved.
Qualifications:
. Analyze and understand current accounting and business processes quickly
and create documents for new system in a fast paced environment with
aggressive deadlines
. Demonstrated experience in preparing business requirements documents and
thorough system analysis with minimal supervision
. Required accounting background, understanding of GAAP Principles,
accounting policies, sub ledger systems, etc.
. Proficiency required in MS Office applications including Excel,
PowerPoint, Visio and Access. Advanced MS Access preferred
. Experience documenting and flow-charting procedures including working
knowledge of Visio software
. Ability to create new Access models while maintaining/modifying existing
Access models
. Strong oral and written communication skills to prepare memoranda,
requirements, and other project documentation
. Mortgage industry experience with REO properties preferred
. B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or Business
Administration
. At least seven years of experience in hands-on business analysis related
to Reporting and Analytics for Accounting/Financial systems. Must understand
Accounting closing activities and reports related to Reconciliations, etc.
