THIS IS A TECHNICAL MANAGER AND WILL BE THE HIRING MANAGER'S RIGHT HAND MAN. THIS PEROSN NEEDS TO BE TECHNICAL, PERHAPS HAS BEEN A DEVELOPER IN THE PAST AND MOVED IN TO A MANAGERIAL ROLE. NEEDS TO BE WELL VERSED WITH BI TOOLS, ETL TOOLS AND DATAWAREHOUSING. THEY DO NOT NEED TO HAVE SPECIFIC TOOL EXPERIENCE BUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE DB2, COGNOS, AND DATASTAGE. ALL OF THE HIRING MANAGER'S CONTRACTORS WILL REPORT TO THIS PERSON. MUST HAVE BEEN A PEOPLE MANAGER IN THE PAST. NEED TO BE ABLE TO TRAIN, MENTOR, DO PERFORMANCE EVALS, ETC....COMPUTER SCIENCE DEGREE IS IMPORTANT TO THIS HIRING MANAGER. THIS PERSON WILL BE A MEMBER OF THE BHI TEAM - VERY LARGE PROJECT! Requirement verbiage on client website: Partners with stakeholders, business analysts, systems analysts and team members to understand business requirements and correlate potential technology solutions that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards. Involved in the full systems life cycle and may be responsible for all or part of designing, developing, testing, implementing and supporting applications software that is delivered on time, within approved budget and in line with business objectives. Makes recommendations towards the development of new software or reuse of existing software. Assists/participates in component and data architecture design, performance engineering, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. Required Basic Qualifications .Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. .Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience focused in systems development and programming. .Experience integrating the components of the following: COBOL, CICS, IMS, DB2, MQ, Abinitio, DatStage, BPM/HIPAA validator such as Vitria, J2EE, WebSphere, Oracle, SQL and Cognos. Preferred Basic Qualifications .Experience as team lead or member on project teams in a cross functional environment. .Advanced analytical skills essential. .Strong team oriented interpersonal and communication skills. .Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs. . Health care or Health insurance industry background desired. .Skilled in coaching more junior technical staff. Thank you!!!
