(Call me at 732 333 3219) dir Must be Green Card Holders / US citizens / EAD or OPT's only Position: Sr. Java Developer Location: Indianapolis, IN Duration: 6 + months Rate: $35/hr on W2 Job Description: Responsibilities include: · Participate in gathering and analyzing business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design. · Estimate work tasks and level of effort within project timeline. · Implement requirements according to specifications and design, adhering to quality standards and best practices. · Evaluate risk and impact associated with proposed scope and design changes. · Actively participate in quality assurance activities including design and code reviews, unit testing, defect fixes, operational readiness, etc. · Research and troubleshoot issues, provide technical support to client team as needed. · All job duties described above require a flexible work schedule. REQUIRED SKILLS: · Bachelor's degree or 3 years of related experience in Computer Engineering or related field. · At least 5 years of experience with the full software development lifecycle of Java-based enterprise applications, using either a J2EE container or a popular non-J2EE alternative such as Spring. · Specific experience in web-based applications focused on portals, content management or similar application with mostly user-contributed content, with exposure to all tiers. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required. · Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically distributed virtual team. · Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills, and ability to manage expectations effectively when handling multiple assignments simultaneously with competing deadlines. · Proven ability to learn new technologies as needed. · Demonstrated problem-solving skills. PREFERRED SKILLS: · Sun Java Certification. · Experience with non-J2EE frameworks (e.g., Spring and Hibernate). · Comfortable in both UNIX and Windows environments. · Written and spoken fluency in another language than English (Spanish preferred).
