Position: UNIX Admin with AS/400 Support Exp
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duration: 6 Months
Emphasis on AS/400 and Unix Requirements: Expert in AS/400 support and
maintenance. Knowledge of and experience in working in an enterprise class data
center environment. Experience maintaining and running RedHat Linux servers.
Experience maintaining UNIX (AIX, HPUX, Sun Solaris) servers in general
(security, software updates, system diagnosis, debugging, tuning, advanced
troubleshooting, etc.). Strong hardware and software diagnostics skills. Some
knowledge of Microsoft Windows. Large scale storage experience (NAS / SAN, HSM,
backups). Ability to build / deploy / tweak / maintain Apache and MySQL setups.
Experience building RPM's from source code. Knowledge of what an inode is and
the difference between ARP and DNS. Very strong networking skills to include
TCP/IP, subnetting, routing. UNIX skills including LDAP, DNS (bind), NFS.
Proven experience in network administrations and routing protocols. Strong Perl
and Bourne shell scripting. Must have experience using the following commands:
vmstat, top, uname, ps, emacs/vi, cvs/svn/git, make, rpm, ping, traceroute.
